Staff Report From Columbus CEO
Thursday, August 2nd, 2018
On Thursday, August 2, participating Dairy Queen locations in Columbus, Phenix City, Opelika and Valley will come together to raise funds for The Children’s Hospital at Piedmont Columbus Regional.
Funds raised will help support children in our community who have a remarkable miracle story to tell thanks to the treatment they received at The Children’s Hospital at Piedmont Columbus Regional.
Donations collected on Miracle Treat Day will directly help Piedmont Columbus Regional fund further expansion and development of the Children’s Hospital.
As part of the 14th Annual DQ Miracle Treat Day on Thursday, August 2, DQ Grill & Chill® and Dairy Queen locations throughout the U.S. will raise funds to help save and improve the lives of sick and injured children in CMN Hospitals. During Miracle Treat Day, $1 or more from every Blizzard® Treat sold at participating locations will be donated to CMN Hospitals, which raises funds and awareness for 170 children’s hospitals across the U.S. and Canada.
Last year’s Miracle Treat Day at DQ raised more than $12,000 for The Children’s Hospital at Piedmont Columbus Regional.
Since 1984, the Dairy Queen system has raised more than $134 million for the charity through fundraising efforts including Miracle Treat Day, the Miracle Balloon campaign and other local initiatives.
