CSU Recognized as Bicycle-Friendly University

Columbus State University has been awarded a bronze designation for being a bicycle-friendly university by the League of American Bicyclists' Bicycle Friendly University (BFU) program. The official announcement of the 2018 BFU Awards was made on Wednesday Nov. 14, where in recognition of its achievement, CSU received a 2018-2022 Bronze BFU seal.
The BFU program, which includes 193 colleges and universities in 46 states, is part of the League of American Bicyclists' mission to create a bicycle-friendly America. CSU's achievement means that it is part of a select class of 45 new and renewing bicycle-friendly universities nationwide. This award entitles CSU to a variety of free tools and technical assistance from the League in an effort to become even more bicycle-friendly for the benefit of its students, staff and faculty.
The League of American Bicyclists is an organization whose mission is to create a bicycle-friendly America. The League has been promoting the rights and safety of cyclists since 1880. For 138 years, they have provided valuable education programs, helped create biking environments, and advocated bicycling inclusiveness by creating and maintaining bicycle-friendly places for communities nationwide.
