Thursday, November 8th, 2018
St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School is in the process of establishing a committee to begin the search for a new head football coach.
Mark “Dre’” LeGree, who has served as head Vikings Football coach since November 2016, met with members of the Vikings Football Team on November 5, 2018 and announced his resignation from the role. LeGree will continue to teach Physical Education to high school students at St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School. “I love you all so much, and I love this school….It’s been a great year, and I’m proud of you,” Coach LeGree told the student-athletes. “It’s come to a point that I believe you need someone with a little more experience in coaching, and so I’ve decided to step down as head football coach.”
“We thank Coach LeGree for his dedication to the Vikings Football program,” said Corry Black, St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School Athletic Director. “We improved as a program under his leadership. We had some positive highlights during this season, including our biggest win total in three years with four wins. Coach LeGree has built a foundation for our program to continue to grow upon.”
According to Black, a search committee will be established immediately to work on identifying a new head football coach for St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School.
