The Columbus Symphony Orchestra is thrilled to announce a new and exciting change to our season lineup. On Thursday, February 14, 2019, Billy McGuigan, star of the hit show Yesterday and Today: the Interactive Beatles Experience, returns to Columbus in an all-new show! Catch Billy and his band performing the music of the Beatles, the Animals, the Rolling Stones, the Kinks, the Who, and more,
backed by the Columbus Symphony Orchestra as we celebrate Valentine’s Day. Join us for The British Invasion with Billy McGuigan, a symphonic tour of some of the greatest hits and most sensitive, deep tracks that 1960s British rock brought to the States.

Billy McGuigan grew up with a father in the Air Force and moved around to various locations, including Fort Benning, Georgia. When his Dad was home from duty, he entertained Billy and his brothers with his guitar and his love of the Beatles. Today those memories fuel Billy’s innate talent and desire to bring good times through music to others across the nation. “My Dad left me a great legacy… the love of music and the desire to share it in a way that makes people laugh, dance, smile, and remember,” says Billy. Many in the community are clamoring for his return after his most recent performances at the Springer Opera House with sold out performances of his Beatles tribute in March of 2013 and The Buddy Holly Experience the following year.

Enhance the evening experience with a delicious Valentine’s Dinner at the RiverCenter for the Performing Arts starting at 6:00pm.  Dinner will begin with a caprese salad and fresh baked bread. The main course will be your choice of beef medallions with a demi glaze or grilled salmon with lemon dill. Both entrees will be served with cheese polenta and grilled asparagus. The meal will conclude with decadent turtle cheesecake. Our dinner sponsors at Uptown Wine and Spirits will provide customized wine pairings included with the meal. Tea and water will also be provided.
