St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School’s Varsity Vikings Baseball Team will play its 2019 home games at the City of Columbus’ Historic Golden Park. “We are excited about this opportunity,” said St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School Athletic Director Corry Black. “Vikings Baseball Coach Bobby Howard and his student-athletes have put in a lot of hard work during the preseason, and we are looking forward to watching them play at one of the best stadiums in our area.”
The decision to host home games off campus comes as a result of a growing athletics program. “Spring is one of the busiest sports seasons for St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School,” Black said. “Playing at Golden Park will not only give our Vikings Baseball players a wonderful experience to play in a large venue, it will also help us avoid overuse of the school’s Deimel Field, which is used by the Vikings Soccer Team in the spring months.”
