Deficiency Free Columbus Hospice!
Columbus Hospice received a deficiency-free rating on its regulatory survey for its Georgia location, as conducted by the Georgia Department of Community Health.
It is not a common occurrence to receive a deficiency-free rating, as Columbus Hospice has achieved. This survey reviews hospice programs in their entirety, focusing primarily on patient care quality and safety. All areas of the organization are evaluated, and the surveyor even visits and interviews patients and families.
“I am very pleased with the team and proud of their passionate commitment to patient care,” said Donna Morgan, CEO. “This finding demonstrates that Columbus Hospice is strongly invested in providing the best in every aspect of patient care. We are honored to be recognized by this deficiency-free survey.
As required by federal regulations, the survey occurs every three years in hospice. The survey evaluates regulatory internal compliance operations, and has been an effective tool for the Georgia Department of Community Health to evaluate potential deficiencies.
