CVCC Welcomes You to New Student Experience
Staff Report From Columbus CEO

Chattahoochee Valley Community College (CVCC) makes registration a worry-free process for new students with New Student Experience. The event is considered a must-attend to learn all things CVCC. There are several day and evening sessions scheduled throughout the month of July.
Potential students arrive as college applicants and leave as official CVCC Pirates, because College faculty and staff members make the process easy as they help navigate through everything from financial aid to registration.
The event is designed for prospective students and their families to learn more about the opportunities available at CVCC through an informational overview of the College and one-on-one advisement. Whether you are a recent high school graduate, a military spouse looking for a career to supplement your household income, or someone looking to advance your current career, New Student Experience is the premier event to put you on track for success.
“New Student Experience allows potential students to see first-hand what they can accomplish here at the College,” said Vickie Williams, Associate Dean of Student Development and Success. “You can receive an associate degree or certificate in programs such as Fire Science, Medical Assisting, and Criminal Justice, just to name a few. In addition, students often times don’t realize that most CVCC classes easily transfer to a four-year university, and if you live within a 50-mile radius of the campus, there is no out-of-state fee.”
Students planning to attend CVCC fall semester should complete a College application online and register for New Student Experience now by visiting the College’s website at www.cv.edu. There are four opportunities to attend: July 11, 19, 25, or 26. Fall classes begin August 19.
