Last week Columbus State University celebrated Homecoming, bringing together students, alumni and the community in support of CSU’s current and future students. With contributions throughout the week, more than $100,000 was raised for student scholarships.
“We could not do what we do without the support of alumni and friends in the community,” said Ben Thames, CSU Alumni Association President and B.B.A. alumnus from the class of 97.
This year’s Homecoming included a new event, Evening at the Bo – an eclectic evening of creative cocktails, live entertainment, and raffles. Also during Homecoming was CSU Gives, the university’s day of giving, which provided alumni and friends the chance to give and receive special CSU Spirit Wear. Contributions made through Evening at the Bo and CSU Gives raised more than $100,000. The initiatives allow for a match of a $50,000 endowment for student scholarships, which was approved by the CSU Alumni Association.
