Staff Report From Columbus CEO
Wednesday, October 23rd, 2019
The Youth Orchestra of Greater Columbus (YOGC) opens its 26th season with Harmony Out of Dischord on October 29, 2019 at the RiverCenter for the Performing Arts. Featuring the Chattahoochee Valley’s only youth symphonic orchestra, the concert begins at 7:30p and is free and open to the public.
The repertoire for this concert will take the audience through a gamut of emotions, with music describing the stress of the Reformation era to the light-hearted music of Gilbert and Sullivan.
“We, the board of directors and staff, are so proud of these students for the work they’ve been putting in since the end of August to prepare for this concert. This is a wonderful opportunity to bring your children to see an orchestra concert and connect with other kids just like them playing music on the beautiful Bill Heard Theatre." – Stephanie Payne, YOGC Executive Director
