Columbus CARES is the Columbus Consolidated Government’s program for dispersing federal funds from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES) provides vital funds to local organizations for recovery of COVID-19 necessary related expenses that are not reimbursed by any other source. Eligible organizations include small businesses, non-profits, community assistance organizations, arts organizations and medical/health care entities.

According to the state of Georgia, the city of Columbus is eligible for up to $34,000,000 in CARES funds – which will most likely come in phases throughout the fall. Applications are now being accepted and the deadline for applying is Monday, August 24th at 5pm. No late applications will be accepted.
