St. Francis-Emory Healthcare Announces Plans for Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Thursday, October 1st, 2020
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and St. Francis-Emory Healthcare is making it easier than ever to get your yearly mammogram screening. In observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, St. Francis Center for Breast Health will host a special event for teachers and extended hours every Tuesday during October. Don’t wait to have your annual mammogram. Our technology includes 3D mammography. A 3D mammogram can improve cancer detection by 40% (breastcancer.org). Breast imaging that offers better accuracy and few callbacks can be life-saving, especially for women with dense breast tissue. Safety Procedures during COVID
We have taken extra safety precautions in our Center for Breast Health to keep you and our team members safe. All team members wear a mask, and we ask all patients and visitors to wear a mask or face covering. We sanitize all equipment and dressing rooms between each patient and limit visitors. Upon arrival to the Butler Pavilion, you will be screened and temperature checked. If you are running a fever, have symptoms, or don’t feel well, please reschedule your appointment. For a complete list of screening questions, visitor policy and more, visit our Coronavirus Preparedness page at MyStFrancis.com.
