Revealed: Georgia’s Most Caffeinated City
Thursday, September 30th, 2021
Decatur has been crowned Georgia’s most coffee-obsessed city, following new research.
The study, by sleep experts Zoma Sleep, found that Decatur has the highest ratio of coffee shops to people, with 19 dedicated coffee outlets serving a population of 25,655 Americans.
This means that there is a coffee shop for every 1,350 people in Decatur - the highest ratio out of the 19 Georgia towns and cities included in the study.
The study analysed Yelp data to find the number of coffee shops in more than 10,000 cities and towns across the USA, and then cross-referenced them with the number of people living in each place to reveal where coffee is most popular. This data was then separated by state.
