St. Francis-Emory Healthcare, following its mission of Making Communities Healthier, is partnering with Columbus’ Victory Mission for monthly classes and events featuring topics ranging from nutrition, financial management, heart health, diabetes and exercise. The first class is scheduled for 5:15 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 16, at Victory Mission, 3448 Lumpkin Road in Columbus.

St. Francis-Emory Healthcare dietitian Lini Alappat, RD, will be presenting on Nutrition and Diabetes including signs and symptoms, management and proper nutritional choices. After the event, attendees will also have the opportunity to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
