Enrichment Services Program to Begin Accepting Applications for Head Start Program

Enrichment Services Program (ESP) will begin accepting applications for the 2022-2023 school year for Early Head Start and Head Start programs in Muscogee, Stewart, Chattahoochee, Clay, Quitman, Harris, Troup, Meriwether, and Talbot counties, and Russell County in Phenix City, Alabama. Applications will open for the respective residents Monday, March 14, 2022.
ESP offers a high-quality early childhood education program for students who meet eligibility requirements at no cost. The program aims to promote school readiness of infants, toddlers, and children from low-income families. The program offers health, nutrition, educational, and family strengthening services. The Early Head Start Program serves pregnant women, infants, and toddlers from birth through age three. The Head Start Program serves three and four-year-old children, including those with disabilities.
To enroll a child, the following documents are required:

Child’s/expectant mother’s birth certificate or confirmation of birth

Child’s current immunization certificate (Form 3231; Form IMM 50-AL)

Social security cards for all household members

Child’s/expectant mother’s health insurance word

Proof of family income for the past 12 months (W-2, 1040, Pay Stubs, Child Support, TANF, SSI)

Parent photo identification
