St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School Welcomes Head Track & Field/Cross Country Coach

St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School is pleased to announce that Darrel Wright has been hired to lead its Track & Field and Cross Country programs.
“I believe Wright’s experience and passion will be key in growing our already successful Vikings Track & Field and Cross Country programs, said Corry Black, St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School Athletic Director. “I am excited to welcome him to our Viking family!”
“My goal is to help foster students’ development - academically, physically, spiritually, and emotionally,” Wright said. “Working for Pacelli will allow me to combine three of my greatest passions: my Christian values, helping youth, and leading a team. I am excited to be a member of the Viking family!”
St. Anne-Pacelli students in grades 8-12 and their parents can meet Coach Wright during a Track & Field Interest Meeting this Wednesday, January 11th at 6:30 p.m. in the High School Media Center.
About Head Track and Field and Cross Country Coach Darrel Wright
Over the past decade, as owner of Wright Way Fitness, Darrel Wright has served as a personal trainer for Cross Country, Track & Field and marathon runners. In addition to training others to succeed in the sports, Wright also has an extensive personal Track & Field and Cross Country record. He was named “All Middle Georgia” for Cross Country and Track & Field in 1994 and 1995; he qualified for state-level competition in Cross Country in 1994 and 1995; and was a state qualifier for the 1 mile and 2 mile runs in Track & Field in 1994 and 1995. Additionally, Wright is a four-time Georgia Golden Glove Boxing Champion and Southern Golden Gloves winner. In addition to his personal training business, he currently coaches USA Amateur Boxing.
