CTC Announces Plans for Mascot Reveal

Friday, July 14th, 2023

Columbus Technical College (CTC) is set to captivate the campus and surrounding Chattahoochee Valley Community with an exciting new branded addition.  Today's teaser is designed to ignite curiosity and anticipation among our valued staff, students and partners statewide in preparation for the upcoming mascot reveal celebration slated for July 29.

"We're thrilled to share this teaser with our loyal community," said Tara Askew, CTC VP of Student Affairs and Communications. "The response and anticipation have been overwhelming, and we can't wait for everyone to see the full reveal.”

For months, the creative team has been hard at work, carefully crafting a character that embodies the full essence of CTC.  This figure, shrouded in secrecy, will publicly represent the institution into perpetuity.

Martha Ann Todd, CTC President, said, "Bringing an official mascot to campus was one of the many things I charged the communications team with creating during my tenure in office.  I wanted to have a physical representation to serve as a goodwill ambassador as we seek to expand our public identity."

The upcoming reveal of the mascot promises attendees will see a distinctively branded feature with infectious energy and excitement. The day’s festivities will be coupled with the institution’s annual Back to School Bash. Local students will receive bookbags filled with school supplies as they enjoy food, music, games and surprises. The event is free to attend and all participants will have the opportunity to engage, take photographs and leave with souvenirs of the experience.  Event logistics include:
