Columbus Technical College (CTC) hosted its 2023 graduation ceremony on Tuesday, December 12, at 7:00 pm at the Columbus Civic Center. CTC celebrated the conclusion of another academic season with over 604 students earning 1,441credentials. Of that number, the institution awarded 321 degrees, 149 diplomas, and 971 technical certificates of credit earned by students during the 2023 summer and fall terms. 

Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) State board member, Carvel Lewis, served as this year’s special guest speaker. Lewis – who gave a heartwarming speech about the prevalence of technical education in nearly every facet of daily life – represents TCSG’s 2nd congressional district and is a licensed embalmer and funeral director for Lewis Mortuary, his family’s business in Fort Gaines, GA.

The ceremony included milestones from the past year and publicly honored graduates on the conferring of their degrees. The leadership team at CTC extended formal invitations to the institution’s many champions and supporters in recognition of their continued partnership.
