GDOT District 3 was Awarded Four Projects

In October 2023, the Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) District 3 was awarded four projects. 

The largest investment will be in Harris and Troup Counties for concrete rehabilitation of 17.6 miles of I-185 from north of Hopewell Church Road to north of SR 109. The cost will be approximately $32 million. The contract was awarded to C..W, Matthews Contracting Company, INC.

The next investment in the District will be in Bibb and Twiggs Counties. This project will resurface through milling and concrete rehabilitation of 5.9 miles on I-16 from the east of Walnut Creek Bridge to the east of Marion Road. It will cost approximately $7.2 million and was awarded to C.W. Interstate Improvement, INC.

In Upson County, there is an investment for bridge rehabilitation on Jeff Davis Road over Ten Mile Creek. The cost will be approximately $4.7 million, and the contract was awarded to Mccoy Grading, INC
 
The last investment is located in Marion and Webster Counties. This bridge reconstruction will be located at Slaughter Road ( CR 96) over Kinchafoonee Creek. The cost will be approximately $2.7 million. The contract was awarded to Southern Concrete Construction Company, INC.

Start dates have not been established for any of the contracts and scheduled completion dates are subject to change.
