Columbus Technical College Showcases State-of-the-Art Innovations at Youth College and Career Expo

Columbus Technical College (CTC), a leader in technical education, is proud to announce its participation in this week's Let’s Grow STEAMx event taking place at the Columbus Convention and Trade Center and dedicated YCCO online platform, February 13 – 15, 2024. The Cillegal will be presenting its latest innovations, research, and academic programs to industry leaders and an anticipated 2500 student attendees in person. Additionally, this year’s engagement will include a virtual option where CTC will also showcase curated content on topics like Dual Enrollment, College 101 and Personal Branding as part of the expo hybrid experience
Attendees can look forward to engaging with esteemed CTC faculty members and students who will be on hand to discuss the latest technological advancements and current educational opportunities offered by the institution. Live participants will also have the opportunity to witness CTC’s Mobile Carpentry Lab – an innovation made possible by a generous donation from the Lowe’s Foundation Gable Grant.
Event organizers shared that the Let’s Grow STEAMx Expo is designed to allow students in grades 4-12 from southwest Georgia to engage with professionals from local, regional, and Fortune 500 companies at what will be the sixth annual production in the Columbus, GA area.
"We are excited to have an opportunity to showcase our commitment to quality education by participating in the highly anticipated Let’s Grow STEAMx event this year," said Tara Askew, Vice President of Student Affairs at Columbus Technical College. "This platform allows us to share our latest industry advancements with the public at large while also demonstrating how CTC is contributing to the future of workforce development in the Chattahoochee Valley area."
It is anticipated that 70 colleges and universities from across the nation will participate by guiding discussions on college readiness. CTC invites all students, attendees, media representatives, and industry experts to visit both our physical and virtual booths over the two-day experience. The CTC team is excited to engage in discussions, share insights, and explore potential collaborations.
