Columbus Technical College (CTC) extends heartfelt appreciation to Flint Energies for a generous contribution in support of the mission of ensuring that Adult Education students complete required High School Equivalency exams.  

Flint Energies has solidified ongoing partnership through philanthropy commitments that are making a positive impact on CTC students. Their donation will directly contribute to purchasing testing vouchers – alleviating that expense – so that students can focus solely on passing required exams without worrying about associated costs. 

"This gift addresses the financial barriers many of our students face in moving forward to obtaining their high school equivalency and allows the student to focus on their success instead of the stress of the financial restraint," said April Hopson, Vice President of Adult & General Education at CTC.   

The Adult Education department recently presented Marian Douglas McLemore, Vice President of Cooperative Communications at Flint Energies, with a framed photo and personal thank you letters from students showing their appreciation for the company’s continued support over the years. 

While visiting CTC’s campus, Flint Energies executives were given the opportunity to witness campus additions as well as philanthropy dollars at work in the newly acquired and renovated massage therapy and culinary arts departments. 

Since 2007, Flint Energies has provided generous contributions to the CTC Foundation as an exemplary partner dedicated to meeting student needs.  This is a shining example of a viable community entity stepping up to ensure that educational goals stay within reach for students who truly need the help. CTC looks forward to continued collaboration with valuable partners in the deployment of future goals and initiatives.
