Midtown Columbus Economy Grows as ALDI, Starbucks and Other Businesses Open Doors

Local residents and officials feel optimistic about the economic growth of Midtown Columbus as new ALDI and Starbucks locations open on Macon Road and a planned YMCA goes underway.
Hundreds of Columbus residents attended the grand opening of the new ALDI on Aug. 5, which was opened as part of the retailer’s expansion plan to open 150 new stores in the United States. The grocery store opened about a month after a new Starbucks opened in mid-June.
