Columbus Residents Sign Petition to Not Allow Possible Rezoning Project Near Macon Road

Residents in Columbus’s Sears Woods community gear up for a fight against a development planned for the community. Homeowners from several subdivisions in the area along Macon Road went before city council last week to express their concerns.
In March, News Leader 9 shared a developer’s plan to rezone around 115 acres of undeveloped land at 5201 Macon road to build single family houses, apartments and more.
