On Wednesday, April 3, Chattahoochee Valley Community College (CVCC) proudly participated in the Diamond Jubilee Golf Scramble hosted by the Alabama Community College System (ACCS). The event brought together staff, community friends, and stakeholders from various colleges across Alabama for a day of camaraderie and sport.
Held at the Robert Trent Jones golf courses across the state, including the renowned Capitol Hill in Prattville, AL, the event treated participants to an unparalleled golfing experience at the nation's #2 public golf facility, as recognized by Golf World Readers.
CVCC's contingent, comprising staff and friends, joined 26 teams on the Senator course for a day of spirited competition and networking. The CVCC team, consisting of Warner Taylor, Scot Craig, Judge Michael Bellamy, and Coach Richard Mahone, showcased their skills and proudly represented the college.
In addition to the game, Dr. RoseMary Watkins, Kenneth Jones, and Amanda Gamble volunteered in various capacities, taking the opportunity to connect with colleagues from ACCS, Central Alabama, Ingram State, Marion Military, Southern Union, Trenholm State, and Wallace Selma community colleges.
The success of the Diamond Jubilee Golf Scramble would not have been possible without the generous support of sponsors. Special gratitude is extended to EBSCOed, the Diamond Title Sponsor, and all other contributors who made the event a reality.
Despite the windy and cool conditions, participants reveled in the camaraderie and excitement of the day, creating lasting memories and strengthening bonds within the community college network.
