Uptown Columbus Friday Night Concert partners with Columbus Baseball

Uptown Columbus’s free fall Friday Night Concert Series will return to Broadway starting Friday, September 6th. Columbus, GA Baseball is a proud sponsor of the concert series this fall and will be announcing the team’s name, colors and mascot at the concert kick off around 7 pm. The first concert kicks off with The Tommy Prine Band at 5:30 P.M., followed by Homegrown – The Zac Brown Tribute band taking the stage at 8:00 P.M.
Columbus, GA Baseball is proud to announce Columbus’s first ever drone show that will be taking over the sky in Uptown following the concert at 10 pm sharp. Sky Elements Drone Shows will be flying 150 drones for a 12-minute show featuring baseball animations, shapes and patterns in the sky. This drone light show will be unique to Columbus and Columbus, GA Baseball so be sure to plan accordingly to be a part of the first ever drone show in the Chattahoochee area.
The five-week concert series provides a variety of music genres that will appeal to all Columbus residents featuring favorite hometown artists. Concerts will be held in the 1000 block of Broadway every Friday from 7:00 – 10:00 pm. Concerts are free, family-friendly events so load up the kids and chairs and head downto Uptown!

Columbus, GA Baseball will be on site weekly selling team swag; be sure to grab the whole family their favorite baseball gear to get ready for the season kickoff in April 2025. General Manager, Pete Laven, said “We are incredibly excited to be partnering with Uptown Columbus on this historic event in Columbus baseball history. We know anticipation is high and we look forward to revealing the brand new team identity to the community in a fun, festive atmosphere!”
Nearby restaurants will offer food and beverages for sale. Free parking is available in nearby public decks. Of course, lawn chairs are welcome. Outside coolers are prohibited and pets are discouraged due to loud noises and large crowds. The 1000 block of Broadway will close at 4:30 pm. The 900 block of Broadway and 10 th Street from Front Ave to First Ave will be closed for safety for the drone show from 9 pm to 10:30 pm. Roads will reopen once the streets are cleared.
