Muscogee County School Board Approves 18% Pay Raise for Superintendent

Dr. David Lewis, who is in his eleventh year as superintendent of the Muscogee County School District, will now earn an annual salary of $288,000.
This comes after the school board approved an 18 percent pay raise during its Monday night meeting. The average tenure for a superintendent in Georgia is close to three years, according to the Georgia School Superintendents Association, making Dr. Lewis’ long service particularly notable.
