Columbus Technical College is proud to recognize the outstanding achievements of its students and faculty through this year’s prestigious GOAL, EAGLE, Rick Perkins, and Adult Education Teacher of the Year awards. These local winners will represent the college as they compete at the regional and state levels.

The Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership (GOAL) honors students who excel academically and demonstrate leadership abilities. This year’s GOAL winner is Victoria Wagoner, a dedicated student enrolled in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.

The Exceptional Adult Georgian in Literacy Education (EAGLE) Award celebrates excellence in adult education. Madison Cameron, this year’s EAGLE winner, exemplifies determination and success, having completed her high school equivalency diploma while simultaneously earning a technical certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education.

The Rick Perkins Award for Excellence in Technical Instruction recognizes outstanding faculty who demonstrate a commitment to teaching and student success.JeJuan Collins, an exceptional Welding and Joining instructor, has earned this distinction and has also been named Columbus Tech’s Outstanding Alumna for 2024-2025.

The Adult Education Teacher of the Year award goes to Annette Dixon, whose dedication as an adult education instructor has empowered countless learners to achieve their high school equivalency through the GED, HiSET, and CareerPlus programs.
