Hope Harbour Receives Grant from ScionHealth

ScionHealth Gives, an initiative of ScionHealth, awarded a grant of $10,000 to Hope Harbour, a not-for-profit based in Columbus that provides an emergency shelter, safety, crisis intervention, and advocacy for adults and children who are victims and survivors of domestic violence.
“We are excited to support an organization such as Hope Harbour, which does so much to protect and assist the unfortunate victims of domestic violence,” said Rob Jay, CEO of ScionHealth. “Our company is about advancing the health of the communities we serve, and Hope Harbour’s efforts certainly strengthen the health of the community by protecting the vulnerable.”
“We appreciate ScionHealth’s generosity in supporting our organization and our vision of being a lifeline for those in the crosshairs of domestic violence,” said Lindsey Reis, Executive Director, Hope Harbour. “This grant will help us continue to protect and advocate for affected family members in Chattahoochee Valley area.”
Hope Harbour has been selected as one of a dozen not-for-profits across the country to receive a grant from ScionHealth Gives. This fund, established at ScionHealth’s inception, aims to support a variety of grassroots, community efforts addressing healthcare disparities, education system gaps, and social services in the cities where ScionHealth team members live and work.
ScionHealth Gives encourages its employees at approximately 90 hospitals and campuses across 28 states to nominate organizations that make a real impact in underserved areas. Hope Harbour was nominated by Brittany Luther, Executive Director of The Bradley Center at St. Francis - Emory Healthcare.
ScionHealth Gives awards grants multiple times each year and expects to issue another round soon.
Please note all not-for-profit organizations applying for a grant must be in full compliance with all requirements to maintain 501(c)(3) status and must be nominated/sponsored by a current ScionHealth employee. A panel of ScionHealth team members will convene regularly to award grants. Please note that there is no matching grant option available with this program.
