The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Chattahoochee Valley (BGCCV) is excited to invite the community to a special Ribbon Cutting Ceremony celebrating the unveiling of significant renovations and enhancements to its facility. This transformative project has been made possible by the generous contributions of donors, community partners, and the Community Reinvestment Department of the Columbus Consolidated Government.

The event will take place on March 27, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the North Columbus Boys & Girls Club, located at 1309 29th St. in Columbus. Attendees will have the opportunity to witness firsthand the improvements designed to create a more dynamic, safe, and inspiring environment for the youth served by BGCCV, particularly those who attend Allen Elementary School, Clubview Elementary School, Downtown Elementary Magnet Academy, Hannan Elementary School, Johnson Elementary School, Ridgecrest Elementary School, River Road Elementary School, Wynnton Elementary School, Arnold Middle School, and Richards Middle School.

“Our mission has always been to provide a safe and nurturing space for young people to learn, grow, and reach their full potential,” said Fred Maglione, Executive VP of BGCCV. “These renovations represent an incredible investment in our kids and our community, and we are immensely grateful to everyone who made this possible.”

The enhancements include new classrooms, flooring, a foyer and check-in area, and a reimagined main area. These improvements will not only benefit current members but also expand opportunities for future generations of young people in the Chattahoochee Valley.

Community members, stakeholders, and media representatives are encouraged to attend this momentous occasion. Street parking will be available along the facility fence line, and light refreshments will be served following the ceremony.
