Columbus City Council Debates Major Redevelopment Projects

The Columbus City Council meeting on Tuesday night had a lengthy public agenda, lasting over 4 hours. Part of the agenda included a comprehensive list of projects needing funding. Two key developments on the list for redevelopment and expansion are the South Commons overhaul and the Trade Center Master Plan, which did not pass and will be revisited at another council meeting.

“It’s inconclusive, so we will have to bring it back next meeting,” Columbus Mayor Skip Henderson said during the meeting where the council voted on the master plan to enhance parking near the trade center.
