Columbus Technical College is proud to host Scouting America’s Merit Badge University on Saturday, March 15, 2025. This exciting event will bring together Scouts from across the region for a day of hands-on learning, skill development, and leadership growth.

Merit Badge University offers Scouts the opportunity to earn merit badges in a variety of career and technical education fields, including welding, first aid/CPR, digital technology, criminal justice, robotics, and more. With guidance from expert instructors and industry professionals, participants will gain valuable knowledge and experience that can support their educational and career aspirations.

“Columbus Technical College is honored to partner with Scouting America to provide an engaging and educational experience for young leaders,” said Dr. Tara Askew, Vice President of Student Affairs and Communications. “This event aligns perfectly with our mission to prepare students for high-demand careers by equipping them with hands-on skills and knowledge.”

The event will begin at 10:00 AM on the Columbus Technical College campus, providing Scouts with access to state-of-the-art facilities and resources. Nearly 100 Scouts from 9 Scouting America Councils are registered to participate in 20 different merit badge areas, gaining firsthand experience in high-demand career fields.
