Columbus Technical College will celebrate the achievements of 524 graduates during its Spring Commencement Ceremony on Thursday, June 12 at 7:00 PM at the Columbus Civic Center. The keynote address will be delivered by Dr. David Lewis, Superintendent of Education for the Muscogee County School District.
This spring, graduates will receive a combined total of 807 credentials, including 206 associate degrees, 87 diplomas, 472 technical certificates of credit, and 42 high school equivalency/diplomas. These accomplishments reflect the college’s ongoing commitment to workforce development and career advancement across the Chattahoochee Valley region.
A special highlight of the ceremony will be the recognition of more than 200 high school students who participated in the College’s Dual Enrollment and Adult Education Career Plus programs. These students have earned college certifications while simultaneously completing their high school diplomas. Many of them plan to use their certifications to immediately enter the workforce, while others will continue their studies at Columbus Tech to expand their skills and increase their earning potential.
“Our graduates are a testament to the power of technical education,” said Columbus Technical College President Martha Ann Todd. “Whether they’re beginning their careers, continuing their education, or balancing both, they are well-prepared for success.”
Columbus Technical College boasts a 99% job placement rate, underscoring its vital role in meeting the region’s workforce needs and supporting economic growth.
