Fuller Callaway had the Hills and Dales Estate built in 1916 after being married to Ida Cason Callaway for 25 years. Architects Neel Reid and Hal Hentz made the dream possible.

“He got it built in 15 months, paid $125,000, right smack in the middle of World War I,” Haley Merciers, Interpretation and Programs Manager of the Hills and Dales Estate, said.
