Columbus Family Starts New Year With Kayaking Tradition On The River

The Hargrove family spent New Year’s Day on the Chattahoochee River, continuing a tradition that has grown from a small gathering to a community event drawing more than 50 participants.
Since 2017, Melissa Hargrove and her family have organized the New Year’s Day Paddle, bringing together kayakers to start the year doing what they love on Columbus waters.
