15th Annual UNCF Mayor’s Masked Ball Raises $250K for Student Scholarships

One of the Chattahoochee Valley’s most anticipated annual events happened Saturday at the Columbus Convention and Trade Center.

The 15th annual United Negro College Fund Mayor’s Masked Ball brought together community leaders, educators and supporters to raise scholarship money for Georgia college students. This year’s goal was to raise $250,000 for scholarships and that goal was met.

“A mind is a terrible thing to waste but a beautiful thing to invest in,” said Justine Boyd, UNCF assistant vice president.

The purpose of the event was to raise scholarship money for students.
