Tuesday, March 31st, 2026

Two north Columbus restaurants have closed indefinitely, with the owner citing health challenges.

Wild Wing Cafe and Spudzilla, both located on Whittlesey Boulevard within the Columbus Park Crossing shopping center, announced the sudden closures Monday morning.

“Due to medical issues, I have decided to shut down operations until further notice,” owner Mak Son said in a now-deleted social media post. “I appreciate all those that came through and supported the last few months. I tried really hard for make it work but unfortunately due to my current conditions, I can’t give WWC that love and attention it need to flourish at the moment and rather shut it down until I’m able to do so.”

The closure comes just months after Son reopened Wild Wing Cafe as the new franchise owner of the sports bar and casual dining chain, which had faced ongoing online complaints before shutting down.
