Columbus City Connections Day Brings Services, Job Opportunities to Residents

The Columbus Consolidated Government hosted City Connections Day on Friday at the City Services Center, bringing dozens of city services to one location.

About 18 city departments set up booths to talk with residents, answer questions about various city departments and share information about open positions.

The event was part of Georgia Cities Week, a statewide celebration that highlights how local government plays a role in residents’ daily lives.

“We want to do is to be able to allow our citizens to come together with our various departments who provide services to our citizens each and every day we want them to meet them get up close and personal with them not only that there was a hiring fair going on as well,” a city official said.
