Stewart County District 2 Commissioner Killed in Car Crash, Officials Say

A Stewart County commissioner died in a Sunday auto accident, officials say.
The death of District 2 commissioner MaQuonzie Thomas was announced on social media. According to the Stewart County, Georgia Commission, the crash occurred not far from his home, and his death has shocked the Louvale community and county.
Thomas’s funeral will be held on May 2 at the Foundation B. Wims Community Center at 7062 Green Grove Road in Lumpkin, Georgia.
