Columbus Group Hosts Water Safety Day Ahead of Summer Break

The Columbus chapter of Jack and Jill of America hosted a water safety day at the D.A. Turner YMCA.
Families worked with experts from the Red Cross and White Water Express to learn life-saving skills, from CPR demonstrations to basic swim safety tips.
Organizers said the goal is to give parents peace of mind as kids spend more time in the water over the coming months.
Crystal Shahid, president of the Columbus chapter of Jack and Jill Inc., said the event brought together multiple community partners.
