Columbus Technical College Celebrates Practical Nursing Spring Graduates with Pinning Ceremony
Wednesday, May 13th, 2026
Columbus Technical College proudly hosted a heartfelt pinning ceremony honoring its Practical Nursing spring semester graduates, marking a significant milestone in their journey toward a career in healthcare.
McCaulley Auditorium on the campus of Columbus Technical College was filled to capacity as students, family members, and friends gathered to celebrate the accomplishments of the graduating class. The ceremony served as a meaningful tribute to the hard work, dedication, and perseverance demonstrated
by the students throughout their nursing program.
A highlight of the program was the recitation of The Nightingale Pledge, a long-standing tradition that symbolizes the graduates’ commitment to compassionate, ethical, and professional patient care. The ceremonial pinning itself represents the transition from student to healthcare professional and is a cherished moment for nursing graduates.
“The pinning ceremony is a special occasion that recognizes not only academic achievement but also the calling these graduates have chosen—to care for others,” said Dr. Matt Dennis, Associate Vice President for the Division of Health Science and Nursing. “We are incredibly proud of their accomplishments and look forward to the positive impact they will make in our community.”
Photos from the ceremony, capturing these special moments with graduates, are included with this release.
The Practical Nursing graduates will take the next step in their journey during the official graduation ceremony, scheduled for Thursday, June 4 at 7 pm at the Columbus Civic Center.
Columbus Technical College remains committed to preparing skilled, compassionate healthcare professionals who meet the needs of the region and beyond.
