Mayor Skip Henderson Nominates Tyson Begly as City Manager

Almost a year after Columbus city council voted to remove Isaiah Hugley as city manager, Columbus Mayor Skip Henderson made a nomination former Columbus Councilor and business executive Tyson Begly to serve as the city’s next city manager, citing his background in finance, operations and public service.
Henderson announced the nomination Tuesday, calling Begly a leader with the “vision, integrity, and collaborative leadership” needed to guide Columbus forward. The announcement came after an executive session to discuss personnel at the end of Tuesday’s city council meeting.
