Columbus Technical College recently welcomed a delegation from its sister city,
Jinju, South Korea, during the group's visit to the Columbus area. The visit highlighted opportunities for educational collaboration, workforce development, and cultural exchange between the two communities.

The delegation was welcomed by Columbus Technical College President Martha Ann Todd and college leadership. During the meeting, President Todd shared updates on the college's strategic initiatives, including plans to offer an Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Maintenance Program. The proposed program is designed to prepare students for careers in aviation maintenance while helping meet the growing workforce needs of the aviation industry.

President Todd also addressed members of the delegation, providing an overview of Columbus Technical College's mission, academic programs, and commitment to preparing students for high- demand careers across the region.

The guests enjoyed lunch prepared and served by students in Columbus Technical College's Culinary Arts program. The meal offered the delegation an opportunity to experience firsthand the skills and professionalism students develop through the college's hands-on training programs.

During their visit, the delegation toured the college's new Col. Ralph Puckett Workforce Development Center, where they learned about the facility's role in supporting workforce training, industry partnerships, and economic growth throughout the region. The center serves as a hub for innovative education and workforce solutions designed to meet the needs of local employers and communities.

The visit included a commemorative group photo featuring delegation members and Columbus Technical College representatives, celebrating the longstanding friendship between Columbus and Jinju and the shared commitment to education, innovation, and international partnership.
