Community Reinvestment to Host Public Meetings on Federal Funding Impact

The Columbus Consolidated Government’s Community Reinvestment Department  will host two public meetings to discuss how federal funds were used during the past year to benefit the  Columbus community through the HUD Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER). 

Residents will have an opportunity to learn about the local impact of federal funding, meet members of the  Community Development Advisory Council (CDAC), ask questions, and provide feedback. 

The public meetings will be held: 

• Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. 
Columbus Public Library 
Synovus Room A 
3000 Macon Road 
Columbus, GA 31906 

• Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. 
South Columbus Public Library 
Pete Robinson Room 
2034 South Lumpkin Road 
Columbus, GA 31903 

The public comment period for the draft CAPER will be open from September 6 through September 21, 2026. 

The draft will be available for review on the Community Reinvestment Department’s website at  columbusga.gov/communityreinvestment.
