Thursday, October 8th, 2026

Grab your dirndl, dust off your lederhosen and practice your chicken dance — Fort Benning’s Oktoberfest is rolling back into Uchee Creek Campground & Marina Friday, Oct. 16 through Sunday, Oct. 18.

The three-day celebration is free to the public, with free admission and parking, and brings German and local food, brews, traditional music and family-friendly activities to the campground and marina.

A shuttle service to and from Fort Benning will be available for DoD ID cardholders on Saturday.

The fun officially begins Friday at 6 p.m. when Fort Benning leadership taps the keg as the Maneuver Center of Excellence Band plays the German and American national anthems. Once the crowd hears “O’Zapft is” — “it’s tapped” — the party is underway.
