The Keep Columbus Beautiful Commission and Columbus Water Works held the 32nd annual Help the Hooch event Saturday morning, followed by the Watershed Festival to celebrate volunteers.

Volunteers clean trails and parks

Volunteers spent the morning walking trails and picking up trash along the Columbus River Walk. The cleanup extended beyond the River Walk, with volunteers encouraged to clean up litter in local parks and communities throughout the Chattahoochee Valley.

“We’ve had thousands to register and volunteer just to make an impact on some of the litter and blithe within the tri-community,” an organizer said.

Watershed Festival celebrates volunteers

After the Saturday morning cleanup, organizers held an after party called the Watershed Festival at Pinnacle Park.
