Drew Barwick with the First Friday Art Walk talks about the tremendous success that the event has become in Uptown Columbus.

The next free event will be on Friday, September 4th from 4:30 to 10:00pm on Broadway’s 1000 Block in Uptown Columbus!

SPECIAL THIS EVENT: Live Music from Local Talent on the Main Stage!!!
5:30 Shift (youth band from Auburn)
6:30 BJ Holland Trio
7:30 Beech Street Bandito
8:30 to 10:00 The Skyler Saufley Band

Come out to the event and see some amazing local art and meet the artists! At this family-friendly event, everyone is encouraged to engage themselves at the collaboration stations and express themselves creatively! Kids love it! This month, an old coffee table, donated by Habitat for Humanity, that we’ve refurbished and added some creativity to will be colored on by you! The product will be donated to a charitable organization- to be determined before the event.

Habitat for Humanity is coming out again to work with ColumbusMakesIT to teach everybody how to make something beautiful out of scrap materials. This month, they will be helping to make a sculpture out of random reused materials. It will be a gift to Habitat for Humanity for all they do in our community. Shhh… Keep it a secret! They’ll be surprised! We told them that we’d give it to a non-profit organization…

PAWS Humane is bringing out some of their furry creatures to be guests again! It is so great how many smiles they bring with them! If you are looking for a new pet, this could be a great and fun way to find the next love of your life!
