Columbus Chamber Announces Promotions for Organizational Realignment

Soon to celebrate 180 years of service to the Columbus & Chattahoochee Valley business community, the Columbus Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce its organizational realignment and staff promotions. With the belief that access to quality jobs is the cornerstone to building a healthy community, the Chamber is getting back to its roots in ensuring all businesses in Columbus have the opportunities they need to thrive. We will build on our three pillars of Connection, Resources, & Advocacy to ensure those opportunities exists and grow from Uptown to South Columbus to across the river and beyond.
To position our team and resources in better alignment, the Chamber is excited to announce its focused departments of Partnership, Strategic Engagement, and Shared Services.
Jamie Spencer has been promoted to Vice President of Partnership, leading a team that includes our Partnerships Specialists Emily Hollisand Ashley Chism and our Events & Program Specialist, Ashley Jenkins. This team is committed to building opportunities, resources, and connection for our 800+ Chamber partners by continuing to build on our core programs such as Women in Business, Young Professionals,and Eye Opener Breakfasts, while building regional partnerships with partner Chambers through enhanced Business After Hours and more. We will continue to respond to the most pressing needs of our partners while building a business- to-business network of support that brings the “fun” to those fundamentals.
Brian Sillitto has been tapped as the inaugural Vice President of Strategic Engagement, leading the Chamber’s efforts in advocacy, talent initiatives, military affairs, small business resources, and the newly expanded umbrella of Leadership Columbus. We will continue the initiatives many of you enjoy today such as Leadership Columbus Class, InterCity Leadership Conference, LOTT, and Partners in Education, while expanding on key initiatives in talent, military affairs, small business development, and youth leadership. Ashley Becker has been promoted to Director of Talent & Leadership Development to support these efforts. This department is built to serve the greater good of our community through strategic connection and engagement.
Joe Sanders will continue in his role as Vice President of Finance in a new and enhanced department designed to create shared support across all functions. Alongside our MarCom Specialist, Epiphany Jackson and our newly created role of Operations Specialist, this team is the backbone that keeps the organization moving forward, while communicating our great work to the community at large.
These changes will create more opportunities for the community to engage with the Chamber’s work and find their community through new and enhanced Ambassadors, Committees, Councils, & Boards.
