Local Group Sues Columbus Over Data Center Overlay Ordinance

A local group pushing back against a proposed data center in Upatoi has filed legal action against the city of Columbus.

Keep It Rural LLC filed a lawsuit Tuesday asking a court to temporarily and permanently block the city from enforcing its new overlay ordinance.

The lawsuit comes less than a week after Columbus City Council approved new safeguards and guidelines for technology companies looking to operate in the city.

Mayor Skip Henderson and all 10 city councilors are named as defendants.
